I finally made it to Hair Fair! I actually went just a day or two after it opened and only had to try to tp about 3 times before actually making it there. Maybe my memory is failing me, but it seems like in past years it took a lot longer. I also rezzed one of temp editable boxes to move around on because in the past it was the ONLY way you could move as walking got you nowhere and I really did not need it. I was able to walk just fine with out lag. It was a totally weird feeling for Hair Fair.
The two LeLutka hairs I have on are called Christine and Francine and I thought they were gorgeous! I can’t wait to wear the up do Francine to some formal event with it’s crystal encrusted flower hair accessory. I am sure it will set off any gown I have perfectly.
Christine’s fig leaf head band I think has a more versatile style and could be dressed up or dressed down with some jeans. I look forward to find all the different outfits I can pair it with.
As usual though I with Lelutka offered all her hairs in an unnatural color pack as well. I would have loved dearly loved these in a pale pink or purple.
Unnatural hair colors is not a problem for my Ohmai hairs! I am wearing Callia and Newreem and I love them! Yes they come in pretty pastel pinks and other colors, but they also each have a version of hair with adorable birds! That’s a running theme with all of Ohmai’s hair this fair. The hairs are lovely and they are going to make for some outfits in the near future.
Lamb had some great hairs at this year’s fair. A couple of them are convertible hair styles like the one I am wearing in the top picture. Eccentric is cute pretty much in half (a little over from half) and you can either wear the main side swoopy part and have the other half shaved for when you are feeling really bold, or add on the extra hair piece that will finish off the hair on the short side. I am wearing both hair pieces in this picture, but I will definitely take advantage of the different options at times. The other convertible hair offered was longer, but I thought the short hair was fun.
Halo is the other Lamb hair I got and it is very reminisent of a hair she made a few years ago, but I liked that! The older hair was in sculpts and while still pretty I simply do not wear any long styles that are not mesh any more. I am dying for some other older sculpted hairs to be given new life in mesh as well. (Like Mono, Poppyseed, Sweetpea, and Lovelier Girl just to name a few *cough* in case you know someone is reading.)
I also picked up the Cherry Bomb hair from Clawtooth. I thought it looked fun and flirty with its short half curls and waves. It seems like a great summer hair.
And the my last Hair Fair purchase was D522 from Tram. I love a well done long hair and have a hard time passing them up. I loved the two little side twisted braids. Tram is another store I really really wish did unnatural colors. There can never be enough pink hairs!
That’s it, my picks for Hair Fair 2014, but there are a ton of other great hairs there. I bought a lot less than I did last year or the year before because I had less money to spend and I took a good long look at what I had bought in the past and realized I hardly wore any of the hairs even though I really loved them. I just get caught up in the whole “OMG! It’s Hair Fair buy all the hairs!” and buy a bunch and then forget I got them. This year I tried to only get ones I could see my wearing right away or often and if down the road there are others that I like and still want I can just go to the main stores and get them after the hair. No need to over load right now.
